Girls With Passion - A photography project

Having been bullied by girls throughout my childhood, and now as a mother of a 10 year old daughter with an ever-increasing interest in what people think of her, I care passionately about the emotional and mental health of women and girls.

I want girls and women, my daughter included, to see that being themselves is the most important thing they can do. That we’re not here to fit in, and that believing in yourself and following what lights you up is what will lead to a happier, more fulfilling life.

Girls don’t need to be told what to do, they need to be inspired into action, to see their mothers, sisters, aunts, grandma’s following their own hearts. Whether it’s how we feel and talk about our own bodies, or how we follow our dreams, we as mothers, entrepreneurs and role models are here to lead the way.

In GIRLS WITH PASSION, I seek to show girls being themselves, alive with a passion and purpose for whatever it is they love in life, a ‘thing’ or each other, and being brave enough to follow it wholeheartedly.
